A scenic black and white view of the majestic Colorado Rocky Mountains Longs Peak coming in at 14,256 feet high.
Longs Peak in the only fourteener in Rocky Mountain National Park, the peak has long been of big interest to climbers. Have you climbed this Peak?
This is a great print to hang on your wall if you have conquered this mighty mountain peak. Or a great print for inspiration and maybe to get out and climb this pinnacle.
Longs Peak and Mount Meeker both are known as Two Guides by the Arapaho Indians. Also known to the locals as the Twin Peaks.
Fact: This peak was named after an American army officer who was also an explorer, Major Stephen H. Long.
He encountered the mountain in 1820. Longs Peak is one of the most popular 14,000 feet peaks to climb.
For explorers who don’t wish to hike to the summit, there are easier climbs as well. Peacock Pool and Chasm Lake are mainstream climbing goals and well-looked after trails. It is likewise rewarding to climb just to the Boulder Fields.
The climbing season for Longs Peak starts in early July and then ends in the middle of September.
