A relaxing time lapse video of storms rolling in from over the Colorado Rocky Mountains. This is a view from Coot Lake in Boulder County, Colorado to the Flatirons and also to the west.
Saw a few bolts of lightning but very few and far in between and none when I was filming. Tracked this storm coming down from Rollinsville and Nederland it was hitting pretty good up there. Positioned myself for these compositions. Music by Kevin MacLeod.
We got invaded by dogs a couple of times ( it’s a dog paradise out here. Kicked up some spots on my lens while filming. ) and met some nice people to talk to. In the late 1970s and early 1980s it was known as the place to swim and sunbathe in the nude.
In the early part of the 80s, the city passed an ordinance that prohibited public nudity. It applied to anyone 10 years of age or older and carried a $150 fine.
