Great Sand Dunes National Park By Moon Light

Colorado Great Sand Dunes with Falling Star

Scenic nighttime time lapse view of the stars above the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve lit up by moon light and also some skies of the San Luis Valley and Bonanza. Nature and art come to life.

Watch closely for some dune climbers in the night.   Wait for the San Luis Valley aka Landing Strip for UFO’s views.  This was an all night shoot with sleeping in the SUV and then catching the sunrise.

The dunes is a great place to explore.  There were lots of people out on this full moon night taking it all in and watching nature’s magic.

Please put The Colorado Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve on your bucket list.  It does get a little warm here in the summer so the sand will heat up.  Srping and fall are great times of year to visit and the peaks tend to be dusted with snow and look majestic.  You can even bring a snow sled of snow board and ride the dunes.  Pure fun.

Hope you enjoy this labor of love time lapse video. Please feel free to leave a comment if you have ever been here and your experience.
